1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Mendlog ("mendlog.com"), a home maintenance logging and reporting service operated by Mendlog. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Mendlog is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) tool that allows homeowners to log maintenance records, track appliances and warranties, manage contractor contacts, and export a formatted maintenance history report. The service offers a Free tier for logging, a Pro subscription ($19.99/year) that unlocks unlimited records, unlimited properties, file attachments, and PDF export, and an Agent subscription ($49.99/month) that adds branded PDF reports, client sharing, bulk export, and more storage.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the service. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Plans and Billing

Mendlog offers the following plans:

Free: 1 property, up to 10 maintenance records, appliance tracking. No payment required. Warranty alerts, service reminders, contractor history, file attachments, and PDF export not included.
Pro: $19.99 USD per year, plus applicable taxes. Unlimited properties, unlimited records, appliance tracker, warranty alerts, service reminders, contractor history, file attachments (2 GB of storage), and PDF export. Cancel anytime.
Agent: $49.99 USD per month, plus applicable taxes. Everything in Pro, plus file attachments up to 10 GB of storage, your logo on PDF reports, client sharing links, bulk export, and priority support. Cancel anytime.

Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), which acts as our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles all billing, invoicing, and tax collection on our behalf. By making a purchase, you agree to Paddle's terms of service and privacy policy in addition to these Terms.

Subscription fees are billed in advance: yearly for Pro, monthly for Agent. Prices are listed in USD and exclude applicable taxes (such as sales tax or VAT), which Paddle calculates based on your location and adds at checkout.

5. Refund Policy

Pro ($19.99/year) and Agent ($49.99/month): If you are not satisfied, you may request a full refund within 30 days of your initial subscription purchase by contacting us at [email protected]. After the 30-day period, subscription fees are non-refundable. Canceling stops future billing; you retain access through the end of your current billing period.

Refunds for renewal charges are granted at our sole discretion in cases of documented technical failure attributable to Mendlog. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial billing periods.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not charge cancellation fees. After cancellation, your account reverts to the Free plan; records and properties beyond the free tier limits remain stored and viewable but new ones cannot be added until upgraded again.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the service for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or its infrastructure
Upload malicious code or interfere with service operations
Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the service in bulk without permission
Resell or sublicense access to the service without our written consent

8. Your Data

You retain ownership of all maintenance records, property data, and other content you enter into Mendlog. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. You can export or delete your data at any time from your account settings.

By using the service, you grant Mendlog a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely to operate and improve the service. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

9. Intellectual Property

The Mendlog name, logo, product design, and software are owned by Mendlog and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of our software or brand assets without our written permission.

10. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Mendlogdoes not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that records stored through the service will be accepted as legally binding documents in any real estate transaction.

Maintenance records you log are for personal organizational purposes only. Mendlog makes no guarantees regarding how buyers, agents, or inspectors will treat such records.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mendlog shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice within the application. Continued use of the service after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance.
